Shirley Bowen

Shirley is the owner of the Busy Bee Academy. She is a graduate of Brigham Young University and has been teaching preschool for over 25 years. Approximately 750 children have graduated from the Busy Bee Academy. Shirley has lived in St. George for thirty years but is originally from Vancouver, Canada. She is married and has four grown children, Will, Jenny, Chad and Loni. Shirley loves children and feels privileged to be able to be a part of the educational process.

Brooke Norman

Brooke is now in her seventh year with Busy Bee Academy. Brooke brings with her four years of experience teaching preschool at the Dayspring Montessori School as well as Montessori Certification. She also helped run a preschool at her high school and spent many years working as a nanny. Brooke has lived in St. George for the last twenty-three years. She is married and has two boys. Brooke loves teaching children and is excited to continue working with the kids at Busy Bee Academy.

Tues, Wed, Thurs
12:30pm - 3:00pm
$150 per month

Varied Activities

Busy Bee Academy provides a range of fun and enriching activities, including:

  • playtime
  • circle time (calendar, weather)
  • singing time (teaching concepts such as days of the week, months of the year, etc. through song)
  • story time
  • crafts / projects
  • kindergarten readiness (colors, shapes, numbers, scissor skills, etc.).
